Nis Ottesen Stride

During the last 16 years, Dr. Stride has been working in the field of Cardiology, focusing specifically on Heart failure. Dr. Stride earned his Phd degree in 2013 and his specialization in cardiology in 2018. Dr. Stride's scientific journey began with a PhD project initiated by Professor Køber in translational basic science within heart failure. This project laid the foundation for collaborations in various branches of cardiology, as well as sports medicine and physiology, leading to the publication of 15 peer-reviewed articles, rendering a citation count well obove 1700 and a H-index of 11, including one JACC publication. Following specialization, Dr. Stride shifted his focus towards clinical science and he is currently Principal Investigator on multiple clinical heart failure studies including Danheart, email-HF, TAP-it, Crowd-aspect. Until very recently he has been the leader of the heart failure section at the Hospital of Nordsjælland, where he has established a well esteemed heart failure clinic. Dr stride is still affiliated with Hospital of Nordsjælland, but is now primarily devoting his time to has now made a career shift and is presently founder and CEO at Medic consult.

Thomas Fremming Dejgaard

MD, PhD

Dr. Thomas Fremming Dejgaard, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on August 14, 1980, is an esteemed medical professional with a robust educational background: His extensive professional journey includes roles such as Executive Consultant in Endocrinology at Nordsjaellands Hospital Hilleroed, Senior Specialist Registrar in various prestigious institutions, and significant contributions as a Clinical Researcher. Dr. Dejgaard has authored 31 scientific peer-reviewed publications and 57 international peer-reviewed abstract publications, earning an H-index of 15. Martin Huth Ruwald

MD, PhD, DMSc

Dr. Ruwald is a board-certified cardiologist since September 2019. He is currently a senior consultant cardiologist (overlæge) and invasive electrophysiologist working at the Department of Cardiology, Herlev-Gentofte Hospital. For more than 15 years, he has worked and researched within the fields of heart failure and arrhythmias. Clinically, he is an expert and innovator in invasive treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and a key opinion leader in invasive and non-invasive management of cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology. The primary research areas have been within large scale prospective data and in-depth trial experience on heart failure, arrhythmias, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac ablation. He obtained the PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen in 2013, experienced a 2-year post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Rochester, NY, US, working with the renowned MADIT study group and in 2023 achieved the degree of Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc). Dr. Ruwald is a very active and recognized senior researcher at the Copenhagen Cardiovascular Research Center on Herlev-Gentofte Hospital with publication of 96 scientific articles and serving as an expert reviewer for several high-quality journals. He has multiple international and medical (pharmaceutical and device related) business collaborations including advisory boards. Currently, he is also a supervisor and co-supervisor on several completed and on-going PhD projects.

Kasper Høeberg

Dr. Høeberg graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2005 and obtained specialization in general medicine in 2015. As an experienced generalist, he has navigated various facets of the healthcare system, culminating in an 8-year ownership of a larger medical clinic. His extensive experience includes clinical work at multiple hospital departments spanning seven specialties. Over the past decade, he has also served as a medical consultant for municipalities. Emil Wolsk

MD PhD

Dr Wolsk, a graduate of the University of Copenhagen (2005), is a distinguished professional in cardiovascular medicine. Currently serving as the Head of Heart Failure at Herlev-Gentofte Hospital, he also leads the Multidisciplinary Dyspnea Clinic for Dyspnea at Rigshospitalet/Gentofte Hospital, and actively collaborates with Brigham & Women's Hospital, Cardiovascular Division, Boston, USA. With a specialization degree in Cardiovascular Medicine (2018), Dr. Wolsk is recognized for his impactful research contributions. Kristoffer Mads Aaris Henningsen

MD, PhD, Associate Professor

Dr. Kristoffer Mads Aaris Henningsen, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, has been dedicated to the field of Cardiology since 2005, with a specific focus on heart valvular disease and arrhythmias. He earned his MD degree in 2004, commencing his scientific exploration, leading to a PhD in 2011 and a specialization in cardiology in 2016. Dr. Henningsen's research journey, which began in 2004, primarily delves into cardiac arrhythmias, spanning clinical research, genetic studies, and animal models. His PhD project, initiated at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, included a significant 12-month research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, in Prof J. Olgin's research lab. This work has resulted in the publication of 20 peer-reviewed articles. Currently, Dr. Henningsen serves as a Senior Consultant at Gentofte Hospital, focusing on echocardiography, valvular disease, and arrhythmias.
